What I use it for is mainly personal. It's my daily journal. I sync it to my facebook and gmail status, sync it to my blog, and digest it at the end of every week into a blog post, so I have it forever. Whether or not anyone else finds it remotely interesting or useful is almost irrelevant to me. What I don't use it for is conversations. I prefer texting or IM (usually on facebook) for that.
